Mixing a peptide at home is simple once you have seen it once. Here is the whole process, start to finish. Always confirm the plan with your vet first.
Wipe both vial tops with an alcohol swab. Draw your bacteriostatic water into a syringe, most peptide vials use 1 to 2 ml. More water means an easier to measure, gentler dose for small pets.
Push the needle through the peptide vial's rubber top and let the water run slowly down the inside glass wall, not straight onto the powder. This protects the delicate peptide.
Gently swirl or roll the vial until the powder fully dissolves and the liquid is clear. Shaking can damage the peptide. Give it a minute if it needs it.
Note the date on the vial and pop it in the fridge (2 to 8°C). Your peptide is now ready to use across the coming days.
